Shania Twain nonetheless loves writing songs
The 57-year-old musician began singing and performing as a younger little one, and Shania insists she hasn’t misplaced any of her enthusiasm for songwriting.
The ‘You’re Still the One’ hitmaker advised ‘The Louis Theroux Podcast’: “My therapy is songwriting. It’s a meditative thing for me.”
Shania’s newest album, ‘Queen of Me’, was her first new launch in six years, and the singer defined that it is a reflection of her “frame of mind”.
The award-winning star wrote the album throughout lockdown and he or she used the document to share her “fear” along with her followers.
She defined: “‘Queen of me’ is my mind set. My mind set in writing the album, taking cost of my temper, my mind set selecting to remain constructive in my pondering in a darkish time, you already know.
“The whole album was written during COVID. I shared, you know, a lot of similar concerns and anxiety and uncertainty and fear as everyone around the world – you know, we all shared it together.”
Shania beforehand claimed that she’s having fun with a “renaissance period”.
The award-winning star confessed to having a “renewed confidence” after discovering love once more with Frederic Thiebaud.
The ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ hitmaker – who married Frederic in 2011 – advised PEOPLE: “It’s like a renaissance interval for me. To be experiencing it as a related artist nonetheless, that is rewarding.
“I feel a renewed confidence. I don’t have anything to prove anymore, and I feel freedom in that.”
In 2004, Shania was identified with Lyme illness, which broken the nerves in her vocal cords.
But after present process bodily remedy and having open-throat surgical procedure, she’s managed to make a profitable return to recording.
Speaking about her long-term future within the music business, Shania mentioned: “I may not be able to [sing] forever, but right now I’m just enjoying where I am.”
