Buzz Aldrin tied the knot for the fourth time on his 93rd birthday.
The astronaut – who was a part of the historic first-ever moon touchdown mission in 1969, alongside Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins – took to Twitter to share that he and Dr. Anca Faur, 63, had wed in a small non-public ceremony in Los Angeles.
Explaining that the pair have been ” as excited as eloping youngsters”, Buzz wrote: “On my 93rd birthday and the day I may even be honored by Residing Legends of Aviation I’m happy to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur and I’ve tied the knot. We have been joined in holy matrimony in a small non-public ceremony in Los Angeles and are as excited as eloping youngsters (sic).”
He additionally wrote: “Thanks for the entire Completely satisfied Birthday needs and heartfelt goodwill! It means so much and I hope to proceed serving a higher trigger for a lot of extra revolutions across the solar!!Onward and upward and greatest needs to all of you as properly!”
Dr Faur has labored at Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC since 2019 and is at the moment Govt Vice President.
Buzz was beforehand married to Joan Ann Archer from 1954 to 1974, Beverly Van Zile from 1975 to 1978 and Lois Driggs Cannon from 1988 to 2012.
He has three youngsters – James, Janice and Andrew – with Archer, one grandson, three great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
