‘Blonde’ leads the Golden Raspberry nominations
The Marilyn Monroe biopic, which stars Ana de Armas because the Hollywood icon, has been bestowed with eight nominations within the annual celebration of the worst movies and performances of the 12 months.
Organisers of the occasion, often known as the Razzies, stated that Andrew Dominik’s film “‘explores’ the exploitation of Marilyn Monroe… by persevering with to take advantage of her posthumously”.
‘Good Mourning’, a stoner comedy by the rapper and singer Machine Gun Kelly, obtained seven nods and can compete with ‘Blonde’ for the doubtful honour of worst image.
Disney’s “pointless” remake of ‘Pinocchio’ can also be up for worst image together with ‘The King’s Daughter’ and ‘Morbius’.
Tom Hanks and Pete Davidson have obtained a number of nominations and are each up for worst actor and worst supporting actor.
Hanks was recognised for his portrayal of Gepetto in ‘Pinocchio’ and his “latex-laden, ludicrously accented” portrayal of Colonel Tom Parker in Baz Luhrmann’s acclaimed biopic ‘Elvis’.
Davidson was nominated for his voice function in ‘Marmaduke’ and his cameo look in ‘Good Mourning’.
Machine Gun Kelly landed 4 nominations for ‘Good Mourning’ – worst actor, worst display screen couple (with singer Mod Solar), worst director and worst screenplay (with Mod Solar).
The ‘winners’ of the Razzie Awards shall be introduced on March 11, the day earlier than the Academy Awards.
